A home cook knows their kitchen inside and out. They cater to the tastes and styles of their family and culture.
However, a chef can create a dining experience for a large group, over and over all night long.
They have a menu and style built on the fundamentals of excellent food, adding their unique perspective, combined with something people desire and pay to experience.
Home cooks and chefs have radically different goals and experiences in the world.
Neither is inherently better than the other - but if you put them into the context of how you're building your business... where might you be resorting to home cook thinking instead of chef-level scale?
The difference between a chef and a home cook is thousands upon thousands of meals, techniques, learning, systems, and hours.
The most amazing home-cooked food you've ever had still needs to be re-thought to be served at a chef-level experience.
Are you asking home cooks how to build a chef-level experience for your biz?
Are you emulating chef moves without getting the fundamentals in place?
\nAre you surprised when it's not giving Michelin?
\nHere's how this applies to you right now, Reader.
I hear SO MUCH chatter about \"what is and isn't working\" to sustain and grow a business online... but as a strategist, I also have the context to know why, and for whom, things do or don't work.
Without the context of their success or your perceived failures, there's no real comparison - it's all just wasted assumption. (We know that assuming makes an ass out of your ume. 😜😆)
That means there's no REAL \"strategically excellent advice\" for how you move your business forward unless you're speaking with someone who understands BOTH the context of YOUR business, AND the nuanced context of the cook/chef spectrum.
I'm not a coach - because the best growth strategy for ones business isn't something I can guide a non-expert can \"go within\" to figure out.
I'm not a business coach - because the one chosen way things worked for my business may not be the right solution for every business. (Not everyone is trying to be the next Alain Ducasse.)
I've found that leaders want solutions designed for their vision - not chasing another cookie-cutter solution because that cookie is suddenly popping up everywhere on the sosh-meeds.
I'm a growth strategist because I've worked in thousands of kitchens - from humble fires in a mud hut to Michelin-starred galleys. It's as intimate as one can get with someone else's business - because I get to see it all - not just the fun shiny that guests see.
That unique experience and insight have made it possible to help hundreds of clients in thousands of different contexts see success on their terms. Regardless of their final vision and current location on their journey - I can find the path to get them there. A growth strategy that uses methods, tactics, and frameworks - proven to thrive in the right context.
Think of your own context as you seek (and accept) advice from others.
How much do you KNOW about that person's business and life to accept their advice without further consideration for yourself?
When you're ready for strategy and solutions designed for YOUR vision, your reality, and your context - I'm ready for you.
\n\n \n\nWe'll talk again soon, \n \nStarlight \nP.S. If you've got a technical systems obstacle standing in the way between you and your next big move - let's solve it. Migrating a community, upgrading your email marketing system, cleaning up the wonky ass system holding things together... I'm the baddie to bring onboard. Reply to this email telling me what's holding you back, and I'll share my latest case study where I helped a client solve it - and set them up on a foundation that future-proofed their business. \nP.P.S. I'm getting ready to build a SERIES of quiz funnels for clients - and it's your chance to follow along while you build your own. This will be a hands-on, do it together with an expert over your shoulder, get it done in what I like to call a \"six week banger\". (A six week banger is what I call my more focused, single system, single intent programs that I work through with clients. It's about \"figure it out and get it done in six weeks\" type work. Perfect for when things slow down over the summer and you want to have something next level in place for fall.) \nA quiz funnel continues to be THE HIGHEST performer I've seen for professionals growing their lists - with and without ads. But the quiz funnel you can trust to become a literal growth engine for your biz takes legit focus and strategy. If you've got a list of 2k+ and have existing evergreen offers and lead magnets, let's explore the strategy to see if it's the right fit for you. Reply to this email with QUIZ FUNNEL and I'll send you the specifics (you can bring your VA/support person). \nP.P.S. If you exceed the aforementioned requirements and want a quiz funnel built FOR you - from strategy to the final email - I have 2 spots available between now and September. The investment starts at $10k, the ROI on your biz is game changing - having it in place for the fall attention cycle is superior timing. Let's chat. \n \n \n \n |
